India's Food Secretary Sanjeev Chopra on Friday said that the nation is considering to cut or abolish import tax on wheat. He said that the government is committed to control inflation in India.
The official further stated that no proposal has been received from Russia to import wheat. «There is no proposal to import wheat under government-to-government deal,» reported Reuters, citing Food Secretary of India.
