Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Sunday that it had received an official communication from the International Cricket Council (ICC), stating that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed its unwillingness to send its team to Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
The PCB’s statement revealed that the BCCI had informed the ICC of its decision not to participate in the tournament in Pakistan, which is set to take place in February-March next year.
«The PCB has received an e-mail from the ICC, stating that the BCCI has informed them that their team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025,» the statement said.
Following the notification, the PCB forwarded the e-mail to the Government of Pakistan for further consultation and guidance.
