Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that India's governance model of the last decade has become an example for several countries in the world as the nation managed to lift 25 crore people from poverty, saw adoption of innovative practices of good governance, and worked for the welfare of the poorest people without any discrimination.

In a blog written on his return to Delhi from Kanyakumari after a three-day spiritual break, the PM recalled his election campaign that began with a rally in Meerut and culminated on May 30 at a public meeting in Hoshiarpur. «The heated political debates, attacks and counter-attacks, voices and words of accusations which are so characteristic of an election...they all vanished into a void,» he said, shedding light on his experience at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
