Turkiye announced on Tuesday that Turkish authorities have initiated a requirement for Indian and Nepalese passport holders traveling to Mexico, Panama, Colombia, and Venezuela, transiting via Istanbul Airport, to obtain an 'Electronic Airport Transit Visa' (e-ATV).
As per the embassy's statement shared on X by the Turkish Embassy in India, Indian and Nepalese passport holders subject to this requirement can obtain the e-ATV through the website «evisa.gov.tr» starting from April 15. Importantly, this service is provided free of charge, adhering to the current practice.
The post underscored the significance of this announcement for Indian and Nepalese passengers traveling to the aforementioned destinations via Istanbul Airport, effective from April 15, 2024.
