At its ‘AI Everywhere’ event in New York today, Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) unveiled a comprehensive portfolio of AI products.
Key highlights include the Intel Core Ultra mobile processor family, the first built on Intel 4 process technology, marking a significant architectural shift. Additionally, the 5th Gen Intel Xeon processor family, with AI acceleration in every core, promises improved performance and reduced total cost of ownership.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger also showcased the upcoming Intel Gaudi AI accelerator, set to be released next year. According to Intel, Gaudi outperforms Nvidia’s H100.
“AI innovation is poised to raise the digital economy’s impact up to as much as one-third of global gross domestic product1,” Gelsinger said.
“Intel is developing the technologies and solutions that empower customers to seamlessly integrate and effectively run AI in all their applications — in the cloud and, increasingly, locally at the PC and edge, where data is generated and used.”
At 11:00 EDT (16:00 GMT), Intel stock was up about 4% on the day, hitting a new 52-week high.
