Iconic vampire story
Based on Anne Rice's 1976 novel of the same name, 'Interview with the Vampire' Season 2 is iconic and can be considered closeted vampire cinema. The book can be split into two parts-present and past. At present we have journalist Daniel Molloy interviewing titular vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac. In the past, we get to know about his relationship with abusive Lestat de Lioncourt, and their shared ward, the child vampire Claudia.

Novelist Rice depicts a sympathetic vampire, who becomes the protagonist. This vampire moves beyond bloodlust and conquest. 'Interview with the Vampire' Season 2 will focus on this part of the novel. It depicts how the relationship between Louis and Lestat gets complicated with the arrival of the teenager Claudia. They are shown in a new life, but the old memories continue to haunt them.
