Investec W&I alternatives head Summers to exit for CIO role at Omnis

Summers took on his current role in May 2022, as the firm sought to build up its alternatives knowledge and expertise, and develop additional investment offerings in the area.
He also sits on the firm's investment committee and is part of the leadership team at the firm's investment and research office.
Omnis Investments promotes CIO Robert Jeffree to CEO role
Since joining Investec W&I in 2006, he has held a variety of roles, including multi-asset portfolio manager and head of product and research. Prior to that, he worked for Goldman Sachs as an executive director for nine years.
His move, confirmed by Omnis Investments, follows the promotion of Robert Jeffree, CIO at Omnis since September 2020, to chief executive in February 2023.

«Robert Jeffree will continue to carry out the CIO responsibilities alongside his CEO role until Andrew joins the business,» a spokesperson said.
Investec W&I has seen a string of departures since the firm's merger with Rathbones was announced in April. The deal was completed last week, creating one of the largest discretionary wealth managers in the UK, with £100bn in combined assets.
Investec W&I declined to comment.
