The inaugural Investopia Global Investment Summit will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government on March 28. Investopia summit, the world's first-ever business summit to be held in metaverse, is one of the initiatives under the "Projects of the 50" economic and developmental programme announced by the UAE government last year.
The UAE will seek foreign direct investment of $150 billion over the next nine years through this investment summit as a part of its plans to boost economic growth, according to the Ministry of Economy. In November last year, UAE had announced that it will host the global business summit.
The summit will explore the future investment opportunities in the emerging sectors and new technologies in the post-Covid-19 economies. According to UAE's Minister of Economy, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Investopia's vision is about the future of economies and the launching of the Summit in the metaverse comes in line with the context. This will also enrich the discussion about the technological developments in the world and their impact on the economy and investments.
