Top five debut players to look out for at auction:
- Gerald Coetzee: South Africa's all-rounder has emerged in the top 'Rs 2-crore' bracket with his impressive portfolio and would be the most interesting bid to look forward to. Aged 23 years, his impressive records could make him a favourite for the franchises at the auction.
- Ravich Ravindra: Known for breaking Tendular's world record of scoring most runs in one tournament, the Kiwi player is expected to start a bidding war. He will be available at the auction for the teams with a base price set at Rs 50 lakh.
- Josh Inglis: Hitting a fabulous ton against India could also be a favourite for the teams at the auction. Australia's wicket-keeper who is going at face the hammer will be available for the teams at the highest base price, Rs 2 crore.
- Dilshan Madushanka: Sri Lanka's bowler who showcased his powerful skills at the ICC World Cup 2023 will be up for grabs at base price of Rs 50 lakh. Teams looking forward to tighen their bowling line-up at the IPL tournament in 2024 could eye for this young bowler.
- Kusal Mendis: Another Sri Lankan player who could create waves at the auction is Mendis. With a base price at Rs 50 lakh, he has shown his potential at the recent ICC World Cup 2023 with his ton he scored against Pakistan.
