Rajasthan Royals have launched an initiative to support women-led development in Rajasthan, announcing that they will power 6 houses with solar power for every 6 hits by both teams during their #PinkPromise match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday in Jaipur.
Prior to the match against the RCB, the team unveiled a special pink jersey as part of a campaign in which they pledged to pay ₹100 for each ticket purchased for the #PinkPromise match and to donate all sales earnings to the foundation.
The inaugural champions have also unveiled a plethora of events planned for the matchday, including a performance by domestic Rajasthani women artists and entertainers at Sawai Mansingh Stadium prior to kickoff, a sand artist from Rajasthan creating solar panel-led sand art, the presence of women beneficiaries from the Foundation and notable Rajasthani women who have made the state proud in a variety of fields, and an interactive AR player booth outside on the stadium's concourse. All of these events will provide fans with the chance to celebrate and participate in the Royals' #PinkPromise.
