IPL 2024: Speedster Kagiso Rabada dismisses Wriddhiman Saha for the 4th time in IPL
Punjab Kings' Kagiso Rabada dismissed Gujarat Titans' Wriddhiman Saha as the Kings are facing the Shubman Gill-led team.
A wicketkeeper batsman, Saha, managed to score 11 runs from 13 balls before Rabada dismissed him for the fourth time in the IPL.
It was the final ball of the third over, when Rabada bowled a good length ball, pitching on off stump and Wriddhiman Saha playing within his crease, attempts to whip the delivery over mid-wicket.
He does, however, close his bat face a little too soon, giving him a leading edge. The ball takes off from the outside of the bat and travels in the direction of the off-side. With ease, Shikhar Dhawan, who is positioned at mid-off, reverse cups it.
Overall, Saha has faced 33 deliveries from Rabada, scoring 51 runs with a strike rate of 154.54. This has led to Saha's average dropping to 12.75 with 17 dot balls, five boundaries, and three sixes.
Saha, with 2,874 runs in 165 IPL matches at an average of 24.77, has struggled this season with only 76 runs in four matches.
Rabada, on the other hand, has taken 111 wickets in 73 IPL matches, including five in the current season.
Shikhar Dhawan had called it right at toss and opted to field against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
