

IPL Auction 2024 Highlights: Top newsmakers, big winners & losers
As many as 333 players are under the hammer at the «mini auction» of the 2024 season of the IPL, one of the richest sports leagues globally. There are 77 slots available across the 10 franchises, 30 of them for foreign players.
Gujarat Titans have the fattest purse this time at Rs 38.15 crore.
Lucknow Super Giants' purse is the smallest at Rs 13.15.
Under the rules of the IPL, each franchise can fill in a maximum of eight (four Indians, four foreigners) players. Teams are allowed a maximum squad size of 25; the minimum is 18.
The highest price band is Rs 2 crore, followed by the Rs 1.5 crore, Rs 1 crore, Rs 75 lakh, Rs 50 lakh, Rs 40 lakh, Rs 30 lakh and Rs 20 lakh slabs.
