Rajasthan Royals (RR) is finalising their strategy for the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. Having retained six key players, the team has Rs 41 crore remaining to complete its roster.
The team is preparing for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction with a limited budget and big decisions to make.
RR has opted to retain their captain, Sanju Samson, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, and uncapped player Sandeep Sharma. This decision has been driven by a strategic approach outlined by the team management.
The biggest news is the release of star batsman Jos Buttler. Without Buttler, Rajasthan may look to South African David Miller, who played for them previously, to bolster their batting.
The team also needs to fill gaps in its bowling attack. South African Gerald Coetzee and Indian T. Natarajan are named as potential targets. Bringing back Yuzvendra Chahal, their leading wicket-taker in the previous season, will be a priority.
