Rake's message read: “Hey Manifesters! I know. It’s been a long time. No green light yet, but fyi my partners and I are working nonstop to bring you the spinoff you deserve.” He further encouraged fans to “Keep the faith” and wished them a “happy and healthy 828!!!”
This cryptic message was a nod to Flight 828, the central mystery of the series which captured viewers’ imaginations, as per a report by TV Insider.
The Legacy of Flight 828
Manifest, which premiered on NBC in 2018, captivated audiences with its intriguing premise. The show followed the passengers of Flight 828, who experienced a mysterious journey where they took off and landed, only to discover that over five years had passed during their flight. The series explored themes of time travel, destiny, and supernatural phenomena.
Despite its initial success, Manifest faced cancellation after three seasons. However, the show’s revival came through its impressive performance on Netflix, leading to a fourth and final season. The concluding episodes were released in two parts, with the first half airing in 2022 and the final ten episodes premiering in June 2023.
