Is There Still Sex in the City?: 'And Just Like That...'-style reality show in the making
Sex and the City could be embarking on a new beginning once again.
Following the success of reboot 'And Just Like That…', SATC author Candace Bushnell has made a revelation that she is developing a new series called Is There Still Sex in the City?
Confirming her partnership with producing legends Bunim Murray in a social media post last week, writing, “Cat’s out of the bag! So excited to be working on a dating show for all of us over 50-somethings with @bunimmurray. Stay tuned…”
The upcoming series will revolve around «four 'fabulous' friends in their fifties seeking a romantic reset as they depart from their bustling city lives for a dating utopia,» according to Deadline's initial report.
These friends will share a living space and explore opportunities to meet men in their age group, wealthy individuals, and indulge in «fantasy» dates.
Bushnell, who hosted a dating Q&A with Tawkify in NYC last month, said, “Fifty-something women and above are the hottest new dating demographic, and I should know, I am one of them. Over the decades, I’ve dated men of all ages and I’m so excited to be working on a show that combines my passion for relationships with the chance to help women, like me, navigate a love do-over.”
Bunim Murray, renowned for producing series such as MTV's The Challenge, The Simple Life, The Real World, The Family Stallone, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians, boasts an impressive track record of 85 Emmy Awards.
«We feel that Candace’s brand has grown with her audience and her expertise in the dating space is an incredible entry point for an immersive dating experiment,” they state in a statement.
