It’s over: James Carville says Trump administration has already collapsed, and even sooner than he expected
James Carville, the long-time Democratic advisor who had headed Bill Clinton's winning 1992 presidential bid, has now claimed that the Trump administration is already in ruins, much more quickly than he initially expected, as per a report.
Rapid Downfall of the Trump Administration
Carville called the administration one that was full of «nincompoops» and «buffoons,» implying that the highest-level officials are at fault for what he termed a «massive collapse» of the administration, reported the Independent. He said that the fall had happened more rapidly as he had forecasted that the so-called «honeymoon» for Trump would end by Memorial Day, as per the report. But Carville said that the breakdown occurred much earlier than that, even before April Fool's Day, which he jokingly said should be declared a national holiday as it suits the administration, according to the Independent.
Previously, Carville wrote an op-ed for The New York Times where he said that Trump's initial victories would be over within the next 30 days, or by Memorial Day, reported the Independent. He highlighted that during his CNN interview, by giving instances such as the leaking of a Signal group chat in which senior officials deliberated over a possible military strike, as per the report. Carville also noted the president's move to pull Rep. Elise Stefanik's nomination for United Nations Ambassador, a gesture to fortify voting margins in the House, which he interprets as an indication of weakness among Republicans in Congress, according to the Independent.
Carville asked during the CNN interview, “What tense are we in? Is it collapsing or has it collapsed? That’s the only argument to have,” quoted the Independent.
