Online travel agency (OTA) Ixigo is sharpening its focus on hotels besides doubling down on flight and bus bookings, said group CEO Aloke Bajpai.
«Post Covid, we have been the fastest growing OTA. At this point, we have a mid-50s kind of a market share in trains. The next player would be one third of our size,» Bajpai told ET in an interview.
«We want to continue growing with the market. But for flights, buses and hotels, there is an opportunity to grow faster than the market,» he said.
«We also want to focus more on hotels. We are adding more supply and it's an area of focus going forward,» said Bajpai, adding flights and buses combined contribute nearly 60% of the company's margins. «Last quarter, we grew 43% year-on-year in the flight bookings space where the passenger segments grew only in single digits,» he added.
