Border-Gavaskar Trophy nears, head coach Gautam Gambhir on Monday cleared air on India's captaincy concerns for the first Test against Australia in Perth.
India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah will lead the Indian team if Rohit Sharma is unavailable for the series opener, which is on November 22, Gambhir said.
The skipper himself had recently admitted that he was «not sure» of his participation due to his family commitments.
Meanwhile, Gambhir also opened up on India's opening options saying KL Rahul and Abhimanyu Easwaran are contenders if Rohit is unavailable for the first Test.
