Shah Rukh Khan on his way to create a hat-trick at the box-office?
After rescuing Bollywood from a dry spell with the action-packed espionage thriller ‘Pathaan’ earlier this year, King Khan is back with another action-extravaganza ‘Jawan’. Armed with a stellar cast, led by the Bollywood Baadshah in a dual role, ‘Jawan’ has created history at the box-office.
As per a report by the Indian box-office tracking portal Sacnilk.com, ‘Jawan’ has crossed Rs 319 crore at the domestic box-office within five days of its release! In Hindi, the action flick minted Rs 282.58 crore, in Tamil and Telugu, the film earned Rs 21 and Rs 15 crore respectively. ‘Jawan’ is also the only movie to cross Rs 35 crore in dubbed languages.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the box-office collections of the movie. “300 CR NOT OUT *TODAY*… UNSTOPPABLE — UNSHAKABLE… #Jawan SUPERB HOLD on a working day [Day 5], after a 4-day *extended* weekend… Thu 65.50 cr, Fri 46.23 cr, Sat 68.72 cr, Sun 71.63 cr, Mon 30.50 cr. Total: Rs 282.58 cr,” he wrote.
Shah Rukh Khan’s movies have always set the standard when it comes to bringing in numbers from the overseas audience! ‘Jawan’ is no exception.

According to a report by Variety, ‘Jawan’ earned a staggering $62.7 million worldwide ((about Rs 550 crore) on weekend, thereby making it the second highest-grossing movie in the world, just after the horror movie ‘The Nun II’.
