JEE Advanced 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has released the schedule for the upcoming Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 for admission to prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other renowned engineering colleges in India.
Registration date: Registration for JEE Advanced 2024 will open on April 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. IST and close on April 30, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. IST.
Aspiring candidates can register online during this period. Admit cards will be available for download starting May 17, 2024.
Exam Date: The JEE Advanced 2024 exam is set to be held on May 26, 2024. Paper 1 will take place from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST, followed by Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM IST.
To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2024, students must have successfully cleared JEE Main 2024 and be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main.
Eligibility: To appear in the JEE Advanced, you need to have scored a minimum of 75% marks in the Class 12 board exams or their equivalent. However, candidates from the SC, ST, or PwD categories should aim for a minimum of 65% marks or their equivalent. The JEE Advanced exam comprises two papers assessing students' knowledge in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
It emphasises problem-solving skills and the practical application of knowledge rather than rote memorization.
Application Process: The application process for JEE Advanced 2024 is entirely online. To apply, visit the official website of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The application fee is Rs 3,250 for general and OBC candidates and Rs 1,625 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
