The pensioner has to provide Aadhaar number, name, mobile number and self declared pension related information like PPO Number, pension account number, bank details, name of pension sanctioning authority, Pension Disbursing Authority, etc.
Pension Payment Order (PPO) is very important for all pensioners. It is a unique 12-digit number provided to every pensioner who is covered by EPS (Employee Pension Scheme) under the Employee Provident Fund (EPF). A Pension Payment Order number is essential if you want to track the status of your pension.
How to find your PPO number
Step 1: Log on to www.epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: Under Online service, click on the Pensioner's portal
Step 3: You will be redirected to the 'Welcome to Pensioners Portal. 'Click 'Know your PPO number' which is mentioned on the right side of the page
Step 4: Enter either your bank account number or PF number.
You will receive your PPO number, as well as your Member ID and type of pension, after entering the relevant information.
The PPO number is required when applying for a pension and when submitting one's annual life certificate. Transferring a PF account from one bank branch to another can be problematic if one does not know their PPO number
Step 1: Login into Digilocker account — https://digilocker.gov.in and register
Step 2: Click on UAN services and enter the number.
Step 3: Click on 'Get Document'. Look for a pension certificate.
Step 4: Available ePPO will be listed below.
Step 5: Click on ‘Download’.
The data will be saved in the issued documents section. You can also download Scheme Certificate and UAN by following the same steps.
