In an interview with Kelly Ripa, the host of ‘Live With Kelly & Mark’, ‘Murder Mystery actress Jennifer Aniston admitted that she did have a crush on David Schwimmer, her co-star from the iconic ‘90s sitcom ‘Friends’, and it was also wholly reciprocated!
“You and David in the early years had a crush on each other,” Ripa asked Aniston, to which the actress replied, that they indeed did! “We just let it play out on TV,” she confirmed.
Upon being asked if it was “weird” to enact romantic scenes with the ‘Madagascar’ star, she replied, “Well no, it was quite enjoyable actually!
She also reminisced about shooting for their first kiss scene at a coffee shop. «Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.
So, we just channelled all of our love and adoration for each other into Ross and Rachel,» she told the talk show hosts. However, she went on to say that it was a «bummer» that the scene was broadcasted on television.
The interview with was conducted on March, was aired again on ABC recently.
In 2021, Schwimmer admitted both he and Aniston were «crushing hard» on each other! “The first season I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said.
“At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary.
We respected that.”
In spite of the mutual attraction, nothing ever came of it.
Aniston and Schwimmer were one of the most well-beloved on-screen couples in the 90s. They played Ross Geller and Rachel Green in the NBC sitcom 'Friends'.
