After 12 years helming one of the Financial Review’s most popular columns, Joe Aston has called it a day.
He made Rear Window a place where business people and politicians were held to account.
There was admiration and praise for his columns, but there was also fear and damnation. Harvey Norman executive chairman Gerry Harvey told Sky News in 2017 Aston “should be hung or he should be stripped and flogged the bastard” because of “the crap that he wrote.”
