JSW Steel Ltd on Friday reported 84% decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 439 crore in the second quarter, compared with Rs 2,760 crore in the last year quarter.
Revenue from operations in the reporting period fell 11% year-on-year to Rs 39,684 crore.
The profit was higher than the ET Now Poll estimate of Rs 371 crore, but revenues missed the Street expectations, which saw the figure around Rs 41,382 crore.
JSW Steel said it incurred a one-time exceptional charge of Rs 342 crore during the second quarter under review.
The company reported an operating EBITDA of Rs 5,437 crore during the July-September 2024 period with EBITDA margins coming in at 13.7%.
