Justin Onuekwusi (pictured) has more than two decades’ experience across investment management.
Onuekwusi spent more than a decade at LGIM, most recently as head of retail investments, EMEA and head of retail multi-asset funds. He has previously held roles at Aviva Investors, Merrill Lynch and Aon Consulting.
He was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2020 for his work promoting and campaigning for diversity in the asset management industry. The new CIO is co-founder of the Diversity Project and its #TalkAboutBlack campaign.
Justin Onuekwusi departs LGIM for St James's Place
His appointment is part of SJP's drive to enhance the «breadth and depth» of expertise within the investment division, which has included Hetal Mehta as head of economic research and Joe Wiggins as director of investment research.
