Karoon Energy in $460m equity raise

Brazilian oil play Karoon Energy is raising $US300 million ($460 million) via Macquarie Capital.
Karoon has become a material Australian mid-cap oil producer from its single Brazilian oil field.
Proceeds will be used to purchase operating assets in the US, Street Talk understands.
Shares in the ASX-listed company opened Wednesday down 7.5 per cent to $2.22.
