Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' came the successful trilogy that set the box office on fire. While 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' had a total box office of around $481 million, 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' collected $710 million, and 'War for the Planet of the Apes' earned around $490 million.
The makers of the movie have released the first trailer for 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes', alongside a first look. The main character, played by Owen Teague and Nova, played by Freya Allan were highlighted on the poster. But the most important was Kevin Durand's villainous Proximus Caesar, the antagonist of the movie.
The two-minute-30-second-long trailer sets the story of the fourth installment of the popular film franchise. The trailer depicts humans as a primitive race and shows apes as a complex society led by authoritarian leader Proximus Caesar, played by Kevin Durand.
'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' will premiere in theaters in the US on May 10, 2024.
Wes Ball (the Maze Runner trilogy) has directed the film. Its star cast includes Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon and William H. Macy. Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr., Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Jason Reed, are the producers of the movie while Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are the executive producers.
