Know all about INS Arighaat as India’s second nuclear missile submarine commissioned
INS Arighaat, was commissioned on Thursday. Vizag-made indigenous submarine has undergone thorough trials and is ready for deterrence patrols. It joins INS Arihant, India’s first such submarine that undertook first deterrence patrols in 2018.
THE SUBMARINE’S NUCLEAR POWER
Arighaat has been designed in India and can carry K15 missile that has a range of over 750 km. Given its nuclear propulsion, the submarine can stay underwater for months and launch a nuclear strike from any ocean in the world
