The last date to update your Aadhaar card online for free has been extended to September 14, 2024. Earlier the last date to update the UID was set to June 14, 2024, by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
This initiative by the government aims to prompt citizens to update their Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) documents without fees, ensuring accuracy and avoiding complications with Aadhaar-related services.
It is important to maintain updated Aadhaar details to maintain access to government services and financial systems. Aadhaar, the essential 12-digit identification number, is crucial for verifying identity across various platforms.
