The solicitors' professional body has called on the government to tighten legislation around non-disclosure agreements, to prevent their misuse in silencing victims of workplace sexual harassment and bullying.
The legal framework and enforcement process for NDAs also need improving, the Law Society of England and Wales said, to ensure NDAs “do not discourage matters of public interest such as some whistleblowing cases from being reported”.
