Railways Ashwini Vaishnav Thursday took to social media X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a video of him along with Jonty Rhodes, Syed Kirmani and Monty Panesar as they embarked on their tour to promote the spirit of sportsacross the country on the Vande Bharat Express. Taking to X the Railways minister wrote, “Legendary passenger experience on India’s fastest train. #LegendsLeagueCricket Trophy tour leaves Bhopal on Vande Bharat to cover 50 cities in 17 states." The video shows cricketers Monty Panesar, Syed Kirmani, Jonty Rhodes along with Union Minister Vaishnaw at Rani Kamlapati Railway Station.
It also shows Vaishnaw posing with a cricket bat along with the trophy in the background. The team reached Delhi from Bhopal today. Reacting to the Indian Railways partnership with Legends League Cricket, Jonty Rhodes tweeted," Partnerships are so important in cricket, at every level, and so I am very grateful to @AshwiniVaishnaw for this wonderful partnership that has just started with @llct20 and @RailMinIndia #trophytour.
Apart from players like Rhodes, Kirmani and Panesar, former cricketers like Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, S Sreesanth, Parthiv Patel, Shane Watson, Praveen Kumar, Jhulan Goswami are also part of this initiative. These national and international stars will be onboard the Vande Bharat Express spanning across the 5 railway zones namely North, South, Central, East, and West, reported ANI. Earlier on November 6, Legends League Cricket along with Indian Railways announced a national campaign on the nation's fastest train network.
