Donald Trump, a veteran from Clanton, Alabama, says his name has earned him free perks, from first-class upgrades to penthouse suites.
“There’s been a lot of times where I got upgraded, you know, like first class. There have been times where I made reservations for a hotel, and they gave me the penthouse free. Well, thank you very much. I’ve had some free meals at restaurants,” he shared with AP.
Meanwhile, William J. Clinton, a resident of Tennessee who goes by Billy, has had a lifelong connection to the name. His family has a long lineage of William J. Clintons, with his father being the seventh in line and his nine-month-old son the ninth. But sharing a name with a former president has led to some quirky moments.
“There’s definitely a lot of double takes,” Billy told the news agency. “It’s a daily occurrence. I always have in my mind, ‘Well, there’s the daily occurrence of somebody being like, ‘Your name’s really Bill Clinton?’”
