Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Google has marked the second phase of this monumental event with a symbolic gesture on its homepage. On Friday, Google unveiled a doodle featuring an inked index finger, symbolizing the act of voting, a cornerstone of Indian democracy.
This doodle, which is similar to what Google displayed during the first phase of voting, serves as a reminder of the ongoing electoral process and encourages citizens to participate actively.
The second phase of polling, spanning 88 constituencies across 13 states and Union Territories, commenced at 7 am today, engaging millions of voters. Notable personalities, including BJP veteran Vasundhara Raje, philanthropist Sudha Murty and Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, actor Prakash Raj, Team India coach Rahul Dravid, and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, exercised their voting rights.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significance of each vote, particularly urging young and female voters to turn out in record numbers. «Your vote is your voice for a stronger, secure, and prosperous nation,» he stated.
