The chair of the London Metal Exchange is stepping down and will not seek re-election to the position, the exchange said in a 5 January statement.
Gay Huey Evans will instead continue to support the board and executive until a new chair has been appointed, the LME said. Thereafter she will take on the role of senior advisor to the LME’s owner the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing company.
