Madhya Pradesh will hold Assembly elections in 2023 possibly in the month of October and November but the final dates are yet to be determined by the Election Commision of India. Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party are one of the key players of this election both standing strong to win the ‘Heart of India’.
In the 2018 Assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, the Congress bagged more seats than the BJP but it couldn’t stay in power and the government dissolved within 15 months. Later, BJP, who secured only 109 seats out of 230, came to power in the state with Shivraj Singh Chauhan as Chief Minister. The Assembly elections 2023 will be a direct fight between congress and bjp. Both parties have begun their poll campaign.
