The epicentre of the earthquake was in Nepal at a depth of 10 km, according to NCS. This is the third time in a month that strong quakes have struck Nepal.
The tremors were felt in many parts of North India, including Delhi, Noida and Gurugram, and Bihar.
Meanwhile, in Bihar's capital Patna, people came out of their homes due to tremors.
