Maharashtra's state government, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been assigned the crucial Home Ministry along with Law & Judiciary, marking a significant responsibility in the state's governance.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been entrusted with the portfolios of Urban Development & Housing and Public Works, both key areas in the state's infrastructure and urban planning development.

Meanwhile, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, a prominent leader from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has been allocated the important portfolios of Finance & Planning and Excise Department, which will give him a central role in managing the state’s fiscal policy and resources.

This portfolio distribution comes after weeks of negotiations and discussions, as the government solidifies its leadership structure under the coalition between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction).
