Mahindra Finance said on Friday that it appointed Bijoy Thaplial as chief business officer (leasing, partnerships and payments) and named Mod Narayan Singh its chief compliance officer.
With more than 27 years of experience, Thaplial will lead Quiklyz (the vehicle leasing and subscription business of Mahindra Finance), identify and foster meaningful alliances and strengthen the execution strategy across all payment products, the company said.
Thaplial, who previously worked at Axis Bank, will also focus on advancing leasing strategies, fostering partnerships, and improving payment and lending solutions to drive growth and enhance customer satisfaction, it said. The company said last month that Thaplial would join on August 1.
Singh will oversee the compliance function across the organisation and assist the board and senior management in the implementation of the company’s compliance policy. His appointment is effective August 19.
He is joining Mahindra Finance from the Reserve Bank of India, carrying more than 25 years of experience in areas including regulation and supervision of commercial banks & urban co-operative banks, banking and consumer education and protection. In his previous role, he was associated with Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran, the RBI division responsible for the production of bank notes.
