major fire broke out in Bengaluru's civic body headquarters on Friday, injuring 10 people. The victims, who suffered second degree burns, have been shifted to Victoria hospital, people in the know told ET.
The fire damaged the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Pallike's (BBMP) Quality Control section. The cause of the fire and extent of property damage is as of yet unknown.
The civic body's offices have a history of catching fire, often resulting in loss of documents. The BBMP's Yelahanka office in north Bengaluru caught fire in April last year.
