Honasa Consumer Ltd, the IPO-bound parent company of direct-to-consumer brand Mamaearth, has appointed Nishchay Bahl as senior vice president for the offline business.
Bahl replaces Ashish Mishra, who left Honasa Consumer last month to join Parineeti Chopra-backed personal care brand Clensta as cofounder and chief business officer.
“In his new capacity, Nishchay will be responsible for driving growth and profitability and building a comprehensive offline network strategy for the brands, namely Mamaearth, The Derma Co, Aqualogica and Bblunt,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
In his previous role, Bahl was chief business officer for the offline vertical of Prosus and Warburg Pincus-backed The Good Glamm Group.
An alumnus of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Bahl has spent over 15 years in various roles in the FMCG domain across channels in companies such as Britannia Industries and Reckitt.
“Honasa Consumer has emerged as the fastest-growing beauty and personal care brand with an omnichannel approach. Nishchay is joining us at a very exciting time. As we gear up to expand our offline offering and strengthen our presence, Nishchay, with his experience across established FMCG brands will be instrumental in realising our vision to make Honasa brands accessible to consumers,” Varun Alagh, cofounder and chief executive of Honasa Consumer, said.
