Mangalore rains: Many parts of Karnataka continue to receive heavy rainfall in last two days. Heavy downpour wreaked havoc in Mangalore on Tuesday. IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in next two days.
In the wake of predictions for harsh weather, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Mulai Mugulan announced a holiday for schools and colleges in Mangaluru, Mulki, Ullal, Moodbidri and Bantwal. The weather forecasting agency issued a red alert for coastal Karnataka states like Dakshin Kannada, Udupi and Uttar Kannada. Unlike Monday, IMD has predicted moderate spells of rain with thundershower in the city for Wednesday.
The city received a total of 115.6 mm of rainfall in last twenty four hours. Maximum temperature can shoot to 30 degree Celsius and minimum temperature can drop to 25 degree celsius on Wednesday. Most of the Southern states are experiencing heavy rainfall in last two-three days.
