Manipur: Fresh attack reported from Koutruk Ching Leikai
Manipur.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated its investigation into the drone bombing case in the Koutruk area.
A senior police officer who does not want to be named told ET, “The incident occurred around 11.10 pm on Wednesday when unidentified people launched gunfire and bombs at the village. Security forces deployed there responded. Security forces spotted movement with torches, it fired in the air, armed miscreants retaliated by firing towards the security forces. The exchange of gunfire continued until around 2 am on Thursday.”
He added that there were no casualties in the clashes.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), in collaboration with Manipur Police, has initiated its investigation into the drone bombing case involving Koutruk village.
