These MLAs on earlier two occasions have skipped the assembly session. There were two sessions of the assembly since May 3 when ethnic violence broke out in Manipur.
Replying to an unstarred question of the MLA K Meghhachandra Singh chief minister N Biren Singh who is in charge of home department said that reported death stood at 226 while number of houses set on fire was around 11133. The number of houses destroyed was 4569 and farmland of 5554 farmers were affected.
The chief minister replied that around 39 people are still missing. Around 11892 cases were registered. The number of relief camps stood at 302and the number of internally displaced people stood 59414.
