Manoj Bajpayee, wife buy office spaces for Rs 31 crore
Leading Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee and his wife Shabana Raza have bought four office properties of 2,099 square feet each in Andheri West area of Mumbai for Rs 31 crore.
The Family Man actor bought the properties in Signature building from Veer Savarkar Projects and paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.86 crore for the purchases he made, according to documents accessed through FloorTap.com, a market-place for commercial properties.
Bajpayee could not be contacted for his comments while Veer Savarkar Projects was unavailable for comments.
A number of actors have bought office properties in the same building in the recent past.
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan too bought four office properties of 2,099 square feet each recently in the same Signature building for a total of Rs 28.7 crore.
The veteran actor paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.72 crore for the properties at Rs 34,182 per square feet, a tad lower than what Bajpayee paid (Rs 36,922 per square feet).
Another Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan bought an office property in the same building from Aishwarya Property & Estate. Aryan bought a 2,099 square feet property for `10.09 crore and paid a stamp duty of Rs 47.55 lakh.
Actor and producer Ajay Devgn purchased five office units in the same building for Rs 45.09 crore. The office units have a total area of 13,293 square feet. His wife Kajol bought another office unit in the same building for Rs 7 crore, according to media reports.
