Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which has been released by Insomniac on Friday, brings several upgrades from the original game. Following the release, the spotlight has shifted to one of the game's primary antagonists — Venom. Many are curious about whether it's possible to play as Venom in the game.
In Spider-Man 2, gamers can indeed play as Venom, but this feature is limited to a single mission that occurs toward the end of the game's second act.
This mission is titled «Don't be Scared» and unfolds within Oscorp Tower.
After successfully removing the symbiote suit from Peter, he brings it to Harry in an attempt to persuade him to abandon it. However, despite his ailing condition, Harry wears the suit, undergoing a complete transformation into Venom. During this segment, players have the opportunity to control Venom as they navigate their way out of Oscorp Tower.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is actually Insomniac Games’ third crack at the character, after separate adventures starring alter egos Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
This time the two Spideys are teaming up to battle notorious villains like Venom, Kraven the Hunter and The Lizard. If you enjoyed swinging between Manhattan’s skyscrapers in the previous games, get ready for an even bigger map, now including Queens and Brooklyn. And you can use your web shooters to create underarm “web wings,” which let you soar across spaces that don’t have tall buildings.
Do whatever a spider can starting Friday on PlayStation 5, as per an AP report.
Apart from Marvel's Spider-Man 2, everyone’s favorite plumber, Mario, returns with Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Expect plenty of the block-breaking, mushroom-eating, warp-pipe-traveling antics that put Nintendo on the map in the 1980s.
