Matthew Perry rewatched Friends before cast's reunion and loved his performance as Chandler Bing, says ex-fiancée
Friends ahead of the cast's reunion and was surprised with his performance.
Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing, was discovered unresponsive in his hot tub at his residence in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles on Saturday. First responders were alerted by his assistant, yet despite their efforts, the 54-year-old actor was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes have poured in for the late actor from people from all walks of life.
Hurwitz, who was briefly engaged to the actor during their relationship, said the actor avoided watching the show for years over fears of seeing himself fight addiction over the seasons, but was left impressed by his performance in the popular NBC sitcom.
Hurwitz also took to Instagram to pay her tributes to Perry.
«As the Friends reunion was approaching, we rewatched the show together. 'F***, I was so good!!!… See what I did there???' We rewound and studied scenes.
Our respect and appreciation of humour is something that connected us,» the 32-year-old literary manager wrote.
She remembered Perry as someone who had «a profound impact» on her.
«He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented...» she wrote.
Hurwitz also said that she has tremendous gratitude for everything she learned from her relationship with Perry.
«While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I'd never known.
No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship.»
