Hurwitz, who was briefly engaged to the actor during their relationship, said the actor avoided watching the show for years over fears of seeing himself fight addiction over the seasons, but was left impressed by his performance in the popular NBC sitcom.
Hurwitz also took to Instagram to pay her tributes to Perry.

She remembered Perry as someone who had «a profound impact» on her.
«He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented...» she wrote.
Hurwitz also said that she has tremendous gratitude for everything she learned from her relationship with Perry.
