Global Health (Medanta) reported a 46% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit to Rs 125 in Q2FY24 due to an increase in revenue growth from matured and new hospitals, along with higher patient volumes.
Revenue rose 24.5% YoY to Rs 865 crore.
The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) rose 35.7% YoY to Rs 234 crore. The EBITDA margins expanded 220 basis points YoY to 27%.
Average occupied bed days increased by 17.8% y-o-y, representing an occupancy of 64.9% in Q2 FY24.
Average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) grew by 4.8% y-o-y to Rs 61,003; in-patient volume increased by 19.4% and out-patient volume increased by 23.2% y-o-y.
Developing hospitals (Medanta Lucknow and Medanta Patna) revenue share increased from 27% in Q2FY23 to 31% in Q2 FY24 amounting to Rs.
Rs 264 crore. Developing Hospital EBITDA share increased from 33% in Q2 FY23 to 38% in Q2 FY24 amounting to Rs.
89.7 crore.
Matured hospitals grew 9.5% y-o-y and EBITDA growth of 32.8% y-o-y amounting to Rs. 606 crore and Rs.
Rs 1,54.5 crore.
