Mercedes-Benz unveils the 2024 CLE: Set to challenge BMW 4 Series Coupe, replacing C-Class and E-Class Coupes
C-Class Coupe and E-Class Coupe models. The dimensions of the CLE highlight its spaciousness and position it as the largest coupe in the mid-size segment according to Mercedes-Benz. It boasts a length of 4,850 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a height of 1,428 mm. Notably, the CLE's wheelbase is 25 mm longer than that of the C-Class Coupe, resulting in significant improvements in rear passenger comfort.
Rear occupants can enjoy an additional 10 mm of headroom, 19 mm more shoulder and elbow room, and an impressive 72 mm increase in knee room. These enhancements contribute to a more generous and comfortable interior space for passengers. The interior of the CLE showcases several notable upgrades.
It features a newly introduced 12.3-inch fully digital driver's display, which offers configurable options to cater to individual preferences. Positioned vertically, the 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage and operates on the latest iteration of the MBUX system. This setup provides a user-friendly interface for various vehicle controls and multimedia functions. Furthermore, the CLE offers an immersive ambiance with its 64-colour ambient lighting system, allowing occupants to personalize the cabin atmosphere to their liking.
Additionally, there is an optional Burmester 3D surround sound system, which now includes Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio technologies. The CLE offers a diverse range of powertrain options, including both diesel and petrol engines. The CLE 200d variant is equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that delivers 197 hp and 440 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the CLE 200 model features a 2.0-litre petrol engine, generating 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque.
