Good Morning America (GMA) for over three weeks, Michael Strahan has returned to the show.
Following his return, the well-known broadcaster refrained from discussing the details of his absence on the GMA show. Co-hosts George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts expressed their happiness at having him back on the program.
Roberts began the show with poignant comments: «Can I just say we have tears of joy because we have Michael back here at the desk with us?»
In response, Strahan said, «It is great to be back with both of you… and it’s great to see Jeremy Renner conquering another mountain or hill as he’s on his way to recovery.»
He returned to the show with ease, interviewing actor Chris Pine and others of «The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes» cast.
Reports in the media stated that Strahan took a break to attend to «personal family matters.»
No additional details regarding Strahan's extended absence were disclosed during the two-hour broadcast.
Strahan was last on air at GMA on October 26.
«Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns,» an ABC spokesperson was quoted in the media.
Strahan's return seemed to go smoothly, as he appeared in a few segments with Roberts and Stephanopoulos.
Roberts led the group and the audience in a joyous «wave» to commemorate Strahan's return at the end of the show.
Three days prior, he had returned to “Fox NFL Sunday”, and now he was back on GMA. Alongside co-host Curt Menefee, Strahan returned to the network's pregame program to salute veterans.
