Production Currently, there is no director or writer attached to the project. Akiva Goldsman, an Oscar-winning writer and prolific producer, will produce the film. Goldsman is also working on a Major Matt Mason movie starring Tom Hanks. He shares his excitement about 'Monster High', having been familiar with it through his daughters' childhood interest in the dolls.

'Monster High' was previously adapted for television by Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Mattel is developing several other projects with notable talent. These include Daniel Kaluuya's Barney, Vin Diesel's Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, J.J. Abrams' Hot Wheels, and Amazon MGM Studios'
